Sweets and Treats
Is it time for second breakfast, an afternoon snack or a little something sweet after a lovely dinner?
The Fudge Hut has many great flavors to choose from, both regular and sugar-free. Fudge is made right there in the store. On any given day you’ll find several chocolate fudge choices both with and without nuts. There are unique choices like lemon meringue and amaretto fudge. Stop by the store and ask for a sample.
Leavenworth, Washington is fast becoming a great place for enjoying chocolate. Delicious, handmade chocolates can be found in a number of places. Stop at Schocolat, a fine European chocolate boutique, offering Belgian bon bons, Pralines and assorted fruit and nut chocolates.
New in Leavenworth is The Chocolate Cup in the Motteler Building. And if you’re a fan of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, you’ll find one in Leavenworth right in the heart of the commercial district on Front Street.
If nothing says Christmas or Bavaria to you like gingerbread, be sure to make a visit to The Gingerbread Factory. This is a fantastic bakery offering cookies, muffins, sandwiches and, of course, gingerbread, and gingerbread collectibles.
The Danish Bakery on Front Street bakes fresh everyday. Stop by for a few goodies to take home with you . . . assuming you can get them home before indulging.
Need to top that delicious German or Italian dinner with a little something sweet? Via Dolce serves gelato! Our favorite is pistachio, but there are many other flavors. Several places along Front street offer ice cream by the scoop.
